Cassie Clark, Kitchen Coach

Cassie is a mom to three boys, ages 8, 6, 3.  She’s a total foodie!  Cooking, shopping, recipes and meal planning are a passion for her.  She loves helping friends solve many of their food struggles, whether it is fussiness, allergies, diet concerns, shopping struggles, etc.  She realizes that most families do not cook on a regular basis to provide their families the best, as well as teach their kids how to cook and eat nutritionally.  Obesity and child-related health issues are on the rise as well as processed foods and take-out options.  Cassie believes there is a strong correlation and wants to help reverse that trend.

Cassie has been using a system for the past 10 years which helps prioritize schedules and plan nutritious meals.  She has become increasingly aware of the way processed and fast food have become a regular stop for many families and how prevalent obesity is becoming in our society.  She wants to do something about it and has decided to share her personal success with others. She likes to teach techniques to get more organized.

Cassie is not a dietician, but rather a mom who has developed a plan to nutritiously feed her family at home almost every night. Her approach is not a diet but rather a design for moderation and healthy choices with the key ingredient being simple planning.   She likes to discuss nutrition in a basic way to help you be able to create your own plan for healthy shopping, snacking and meal planning for your family.

Cassie teaches classes locally and consults one-on-one with household who have a variety of struggles nourishing their families.  Much of her wisdom in the book comes from her experience of working directly with these households.

Cassie resides in Libertyville, IL with her husband, Ryan and three boys—Travis, Andrew and Charlie.  She is expecting her 4th, a girl, in July 2009.
